Lucy’s Legacy and Hope for Animals
Helping animals through donations and education
Our Story
I started Lucy’s Legacy in 2014 after my dog, Lucy, passed away and we rescued Hope. Both dogs were in dire need of veterinary care, and even at eight years old, I knew the kinds of resources my parents had to put in just to try to save my dogs. It was around that time that I also started wondering what owners did if they did not have enough money to pay for oftentimes expensive but necessary vet bills.

Initiatives & Impact
Over the last eight years, I have donated over $15,000, I have educated over 1,000 kids by showing them the needs of animals and how to treat them, donated 170 slip leads to every patrol car in Suffolk County, donated 35 oxygen masks to 20 fire departments on Long Island, and my most recent project was called ACED, or Animal Care Emergency Directive.
